The new factory of the Wayamba DC & Oil Mills (PVT)Ltd., was opened on the 6th of January 2017. The chief guest at the event was the Hon. Minister for plantation Industries Mr. Naveen Dissanayake. The guests of honor who graced the occasion were the Hon. Minister for sustainable develipment & Wildlife, Mr. Gamini Jayawickrama Perera, the Hon. Minister for desaster management Mr. Anura Priyadharshana Yapa and Hon. parliment Member Mr. Nalin Bandara.
